View traces
This guide explains how to access execution traces and view their detail.
Access traces
From the menu
- Click Logs in the navigation menu
- The trace list is displayed
From a workflow
- Open a workflow's detail page
- In the Recent executions section, click View history
- View the traces of this workflow
Trace list
The list displays the following information:
- Workflow: name of the workflow and executed version
- Trigger: event at the origin of the execution
- Status: success, failure or in progress
- Date: execution date and time
- Duration: execution time
- Environment: execution environment
Sort
Sort the trace list, notably by execution duration: click the Duration column header to switch from ascending (fastest first) to descending, and spot abnormally long executions or bottlenecks.
Filter and search
Filter the trace list and quickly find an execution:
- By workflow: select a workflow → only its traces are displayed
- By trigger: select a trigger → only its traces are displayed
- By status: select one or several statuses at once (success, failure, in progress); an empty selection applies no status filter
- By date: today, this week, this month or custom period
- By environment: development, staging or production
Search covers trace IDs, workflow names and contained data. Advanced search accepts operators:
workflow:"name": search by workflow namestatus:failed: search by statusdate:today: search by date
Filters combine with each other (e.g. Workflow + Status, Environment + Status + Date).
View a trace detail
- Click a trace in the list
- The detail page opens: overview, per-node steps, data and errors
To analyze an execution in detail (input / output data per node, errors, history), see Analyze an execution.
Replay a trace
To rerun an execution — after an error, with another version or modified input data — see Replay a trace.
Stop a running workflow
The stop is requested during the execution and takes effect after the last executed node.
- Access the detail of a running trace
- Click Stop the workflow
- Confirm the stop
- The workflow stops after the current node executes
